Outdoor, on-location shoots for solo dancers and groups (2 or more dancers). Express yourself through location choice and wardrobe. Sessions take place early in the morning (sunrise to mid-morning) and in the evening (late afternoon to sunset) at the location of your choice in HRM. For dancers aged 10+ years.

IN-STUDIO CREATIVE SESSIONS // Year Round
Studio photo shoots can be an essential element of your dance portfolio. They can be used for a range of professional opportunities and are an effective way to showcase your personality, talent and ability. In-studio photo shoots take place in a rented dance studio space in HRM and utilise professional lighting (strobes/flash) and seamless paper backdrops. For dancers aged 10+ years.

AUDITION PORTFOLIO SESSIONS // Year Round
Much of the dance world now requests digital portfolios when applying for professional and/or training opportunities. We will work together to create images that showcase your individual strengths as a dancer. Head shot and full body audition/cv portfolio sessions will be customised to each dancer’s requirements. Portfolio photoshoots take place in a rented dance studio space in HRM and utilise professional lighting (strobes/flash) and seamless paper backdrops.

SESSIONS FOR DANCE STUDIOS/TEAMS/COMPANIES, ORGANIZATIONS // Year Round
Your dancers and faculty work hard, train hard, and show up every day. The photos you commission for your dance organisation should reflect that dedication and demonstrate your talent and passion for dance. The images we create together can boost the confidence of your dancers, showcase your studio, and serve well for online promotions. Packages will be customised to fit each organisation’s budget and needs.
Please note: I do not offer traditional photo days for studios (volume class photos and portraits), and I don’t shoot theatre events/competitions/shows. There are plenty of people who do that, and do it well.
I do offer mini sessions to studios seeking an alternative to traditional photo days (particularly for senior students), both in-studio and on-location outdoors. I take care of scheduling sessions, collecting payments, etc. Families sign up directly through me, studios are allowed access to/use of photos.
Pricing varies greatly depending on the number of dancers, length of session, etc. Some basic guidelines will be sent to you when requesting information below, with custom quotes and packages provided based on specific session needs and preferences. Investment typically starts at $600.
Should you decide to move forward in the booking process, you will be sent a complete list of policies and a contract/policies to review before you commit. No surprises! Much of the basic information is also included on my FAQ page.
Please note: to book a session you must complete a questionnaire to collect information and privacy preferences (social media), and sign a contract complete with policies. A $25.00 retainer is also required, and is deducted from the total cost of the session. Bookings are not official until all three of these requirements have been fulfilled. (Retainers are sometimes waived for return clients and mini sessions taking place outdoors.)
I’ll also send you tips on what to wear, and other helpful tips for making the most of your session once you’ve officially booked your shoot.
I travel to locations outside of Halifax (NS and out of province) for shoots.
