Professional dance photography by a dance professional. Before launching my photography business, I taught dance in Toronto and the Maritimes for close to 30 years. As a former dancer and teacher, I know and appreciate the work it takes to progress as a dancer. I always do my best to capture your dedication with my camera.
Sessions for Dance Studios, Teams, Companies, Organisations
Photos that meet and compliment your training. I offer a variety of options for organisations, including group/team, grad, summer intensive, and faculty sessions.
NOTE: I do not offer traditional photo days for studios (volume class photos, portraits), or shoot live events like competitions/shows.
Sessions for Individuals & Dancing Friends
Capture your best moves. Indoors and out, full length and mini sessions. For ages 10+ years, with occasional mini session offerings for younger dancers.
Packages for Solo Dancers & Small Groups
01. IN-STUDIO
YEAR-ROUND, DANCERS AGED 10+ YEARS
Studio shoots are an essential element of your dance portfolio. They can be used for a range of professional opportunities and are an effective way to showcase your personality, talent and ability. Sessions take place in a rented dance studio space in HRM.
Packages for solo dancers and groups (2+ dancers) available. Groups will be offered custom quotes. Group sessions are often more budget-friendly thanks to cost-sharing.
Investment starts at $575 for solo dancers (if a friend books on the same day, each save $100), $200/head for small groups.
02. AUDITION/CV/PORTFOLIO
YEAR-ROUND, DANCERS AGED 10+ YEARS
Much of the dance world now requests digital portfolios when applying for professional and/or training opportunities. We will work together to create images that showcase your individual strengths as a dancer. Audition/portfolio sessions will be customised to each dancer’s requirements. Sessions take place in a rented dance studio space in HRM.
Headshots are included in portfolio sessions. I do not offer headshots-only sessions.
Investment starts at $575 for solo dancers. If a friend books on the same day, you each save $100.
03. OUTDOOR
MAY THRU LABOUR DAY WEEKEND, DANCERS AGED 10+ YEARS
Outdoor, on-location shoots for solo dancers and groups (2+ dancers). Express yourself through location choice and wardrobe. Sessions take place early in the morning (sunrise to mid-morning) at the location of your choice in HRM.
Sessions in July and August are extremely limited, booking early is advised.
Investment starts at $350 for solo dancers. Price range for groups of 2-10 dancers is $90-230 per head.
04. MINI SESSIONS
YEAR-ROUND, DANCERS AGED 10+ YEARS, occasional offerings for younger dancers.
Mini sessions cannot be booked as stand-alone sessions. Offered as events only, these short sessions are a budget-friendly option for solo dancers.
Offered indoors, outdoors, in HRM, and on-the-road. These are my most popular sessions, with a limited number of spots offered for each event.
Investment $200-275.
05. OTHER OFFERINGS
Dance Studios, Teams, Companies, & Organisations
Your dancers and faculty work hard, train hard. Your photos should reflect that dedication and demonstrate your talent and passion for dance. The images we capture can boost the confidence of dancers, showcase your studio, and serve for online promotions.
I offer group/team, grad, summer intensive, and faculty sessions.
In-studio mini session days serve studios seeking an alternative to traditional photo days. There is no cost for studios.
